How much is it to enter?
It is £12 to register; this includes your Midnight Walk t-shirt, medal, fundraising guide, walk number, breakfast and a drink on the night. Click here to register. You must register to take part and complete a form. All entries will be processed in the order we receive them. PLEASE NOTE YOU CANNOT REGISTER ON THE NIGHT

What time do I need to arrive?
You will need to arrive at 10.30pm; there will be entertainment and a warm up at 11.45pm

Who can enter the walk?
The event is open to 16 year olds and over.  16-18 year olds must have signed parental consent which is to be completed on the registration form.

Is there a minimum amount of sponsorship that I have to raise?
There is no minimum sponsorship that you have to raise all amounts raised are fantastic as it all helps. An incentive scheme is available in your fundraising guide which you will receive on registering.

What is the route?
There are two route choices, either 13 miles or 26 miles.  Click here for further details.

I cannot do the walk anymore, can I pass my place to a friend?
If you are unable to walk on the night, please contact the fundraising team asap on 01752 492626, you are not permitted to ‘give’ your place to anyone else.

Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate dogs on the walk, except Guide Dogs.

Why is it only open to women?
This particular event is for women only as there is something very unique about a mass group of women, all ages coming together for a special cause.  However, we do need our men to Marshal (static or walking) for the women’s safety on the night.  Also keep your eyes open for a men’s event later in the year…

Can we walk as a team?
You certainly can walk as a team, in fact we encourage it!  Even if you walk at different paces, the staggered start times are only a difference of 5 minutes to slightly ease congestion, so you will soon reunite with your team members or, compromise and all start at a moderate walking speed.  Please try to send in team entries together so as to ensure you all secure a place.

Can we raise money as a team?
Absolutely!  This is not a problem at all, as long as you highlight on your sponsor forms the names of the walkers that raised the money, so that your efforts can be recognised and we can send an official thank you.

Will there be toilets on the route?
There will be toilets at the start, midway and finish points and there will be toilets available at certain points along the route.

Is the route suitable for wheelchairs?
Some of the route is suitable for wheelchairs, but you must contact us in advance of the walk to ensure we can support and facilitate your needs as much as possible.

Can I bring alcohol on the walk?
We do not advise you to drink alcohol en route as your health and safety is our priority, also you are enduring high levels of excercise and will need to stay hydrated.

What happens if I cannot finish the walk on the night?
This is not a problem, as we have trained St Johns Ambulance on route if any problems should arise.  We also have our vehicle sweepers and marshals to look after you should you need collecting and returning to Home Park, the start.

What happens if the weather is bad on the night?
If the weather on the day of the event proves dangerous to continue with the walk, then a decision will be made by 2pm on Saturday 31st July.  Announcements will be made on Heart FM and on our website. So do keep your eyes and ears open if the weather is extremely bad!

How do I pay my sponsorship money in?
You can bring your sponsorship money with you on the night if you want to, but we understand that it may be a lot of cash to carry.  Therefore we advise you to either send a cheque into the hospice with your sponsor forms, to help us claim Gift Aid, at St Luke’s Hospice, Stamford Road, Turnchapel, Plymouth, PL9 9XA, or you can deliver your cash and forms by hand.
